Brooke Skylar Richardson is an American resident of Carlisle, Ohio.

Brooke Skylar Richardson graduated high school and planned to attend the University of Cincinnati.

On July 20, 2017, Richardson was arrested after the remains of her infant were found buried in the backyard of her home.

Preliminary reports stated that the baby could have been stillborn.

The remains had likely been in the backyard for 10 to 12 weeks.

A warrant filed Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Franklin Municipal Court claims Richardson did recklessly cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of another’s pregnancy around May 7, 2017.

She pleaded not guilty in her first court appearance July 21, 2017.

Richardson was indicted of five counts of violent crimes, endangering children, tampering with evidence.

In September 2019, she was cleared of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment – only being found guilty of gross abuse of a corpse.

Judge Donald Oda sentenced Richardson to seven days in jail for the corpse abuse charge, but she was credited for time already served.
