Briana Gilmore is an American Public speaker and the Director of Planning and Recovery Practice at Community Access Inc.
Personal Life and Activities
Briana Gilmore was born and raised in the state of New York for most of her life. She grew up in the city of Albany.

Gilmore is a graduate of Hofstra University where she received her degree in Sociology and Political science. She also attended University of Amsterdam where she studied International development. She was involved with an Economics reading group, organized lectures, and initiated curriculum on
issue of gender and sexuality in development studies.
Career
After graduating college, Gilmore worked for International Organization for Migration where she was the Program Assistant.
She was then the Systems Design and Policy Analyst and part of the Medicaid Redesign Team for the Office of Mental Health in Albany.
She was also the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
Teaching
For a year, she was an instructor at the Graduate Level in Healthcare Policy at NYU Silver School of Social Work.

Gilmore is currently the Director of Planning and Recovery Practice for Community Access Inc.
Awards
She is the recipient of the 2016 Advocacy Champion Award from the NYC Coalition of Behavioral Health Agencies for her dedication to implementing a Self-Directed Service approach and for successful advocacy for Crisis Intervention Team training within the NYPD.
