Brandon Hicks is an American Police officer for the city of Troy known for being one of the two police officers who assaulted the teenager, Ulysses "FatDaddy" Wilkerson.

Officer Hicks has lived in the city Troy, Alabama for most of his life and has been a police officer for the city for several years.

On the evening of Sunday, December 23rd, 2017, Ulysses Wilkerson and another were in the Downtown area of Troy at around 11:52 p.m. as they found themselves walking behind a closed business. Police Officer Brandon Hicks and another officer approached the two teens as they got closer, Ulysses and his friend ran. The officers caught up to Ulysses and made the arrest. The officers began to assault Ulysses and received injuries to his face including a fracture. [1]
According to reports, the police used force to make the arrest as they believed that he was reaching for their waistband.
A witness by the name of Brittany Patterson has given an account that the officers surrounded Ulysses while he was fading in and out of consciousness.
Ulysses Wilkerson was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center and then to the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, according to a statement released by The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation.
Ulysses has suffered trauma and swelling to his brain along with a cracked eye socket.
The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation released the following statement:
On Sunday, December 23, 2017, Troy (Alabama) Police Officers arrested a 17-year-old juvenile in the area of Madison Street at approximately 11:52 PM.
During the arrest, the juvenile was injured, and was transported directly to Troy Regional Medical Center.
The Juvenile was later transported to University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, and subsequently released.
City of Troy Police Chief Randall Barr requested the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) conduct an independent investigation into the use of force by his officers.
Chief Barrโs request was approved and Agents from SBI immediately responded to Troy, conducting interviews and collecting evidence.

In order to protect the juvenile involved and the integrity of the investigation, no additional information will be released by SBI until this investigation is closed. The completed investigation will be turned over to Pike Co. District Attorney Tom Anderson for presentation to a Grand Jury.
The parents along with the community of Troy and other parts of the country have shared several of the facebook posts that shows the beating Ulysses received during the night of his encounters with Police Officer Brandon Hicks.
