Bianca Le Grange is a South Africa singer, pianist, violinist and actress. She is best known for being a popular contestant on the first season of Idols South Africa in 2002, reaching the Top 10. It proved to be her career breakthrough. She has gone on to become an acclaimed recording artist, actress and media personality.

Early Life & Career

She was born in Kimberley, Northern Cape on 22 September 1981, but grew up in Bushkoppies in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Her mother who was a Maths and Music teacher, She has since opted out of the profession and is now Bianca’s manager. She got her first taste of music lying on her mother’s lap while her mother was playing the organ in church.As a young girl, She did ballet, modern and Spanish dancing. After matric, she toured the country, as well as Namibia and Botswana, doing charity work.completed her schooling at The National School of the Arts, where she studied both classical and contemporary music.[1]

Biography

She is a sassy, Sexy and gorgeous singer and actress, with a warm, friendly smile, and a personality that lights up any room. Her middle name is "Joy" and it is an apt description for her happiness, passionate and outgoing nature. She was born in a musical family. She studied classical piano and violin and has a profound passion for music and the performing arts.

Work Experience

She did her first film with Leon Shuster's 'Pay back the money' and was later cast in Mzansi magic's 'The Mayor' a comedy drama.

She has done major musical productions such as Madame Zingara 2015, District 6 'Kanala'2016 and has played the Narrator in Pieter Torien's Joseph And the Amazing Technicolor dream coat 2016.

She played the evil Bella Donna in Emperors Palace pantomime Doring Rosie 2017.

She also presents Trippe Trappe Tone on the Via channel 145.

She appears frequently in popular musical theatre shows, she guest presents on television shows and actively supports young talent with her social responsibility projects.

In addition to committed training and mass media exposure, She trick to making it as an entertainer extends to versatility.

She applies her acting, singing and songwriting skills to a variety of lucrative roles corporate gigs, session recordings, musicals and television appearances.[2]

Education

She is presently immersed in studies in musical theatre at Pretoria Technikon.

She and fellow Top 50 finalist Kim August have been friends since the age of six.

They have worked together in a Christian Group doing salvation work for the needy and sang together in the National Symphony Orchestra in 1998.

Bianca also sang in a band called Afro Sensual and involves herself in experimental theatre wherever possible.[4][5][6]

Trivia

She has featured on many television shows such as JIP, Noot Vir Noot, KYK NET, Pitstop, Lirieke Raai and more recently, Pasella and Blonde Ambisie.

Her second album, Dis My Somer, features 13 original songs and includes other well-known songs.

She was a celebrity coach on the first and third seasons of the reality competition Supersterre.[3]
