Austin Meyer (September 18, 1993 - October 1, 2017) was a resident of Reno, Nevada. He was one of the 58 victims in the Mandalay Bay Resort Shooting. [1]
Life & Activities
Meyer was engaged to Dana Getreu, a student at the University of Nevada, Reno. His family described him as being ambitious, smart and hard working. [1]
He was a joy to be around, witty, always having a smile on his face, and was always making people laugh.
Meyer was passionate about cars, basketball, with his favorite team being the Boston Celtics.
Death
On October 1, 2017, Meyer was killed by Stephen Paddock, while he was in Las Vegas celebrating his 24th birthday at the Route 91 Harvest music festival.
