Anisha Ramakrishna is an Indian-American TV personality who is best known for being a cast member of the Bravo reality series Family Karma.
Early life
She was born in Kolkata, India. Her family moved to Miami when she was a child. It is a well known and acceptable tradition for Indian children to live with their parents until they get married but She has been cutting her own independent path. Throughout her twenties, She lived by herself in New York City, where she worked in the fashion industry. She clearly has a very close and loving relationship with her family.
Education
Anisha is a graduate of Florida International University where she obtained an MBA in finance.
Career
When Anisha left home, she was determined to start her fashion business without the help of her family.
Her independent lifestyle changed when she decided that she wanted to start her own clothing line.
In order to have enough investment capital, she had to move back home with her parents in South Florida. She started her fashion career with the desire to be the best and reached top positions in the New York City fashion industry She later decided to start her own size-inclusive clothing line in New York.
Relationship
After climbing the ranks of the New York City fashion industry and reaching the peak of her career, she decided to pursue her dreams of starting her own size-inclusive clothing line. She left her life in the city, including breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, to move back home with her family and follow in their entrepreneurial footsteps. For the first time in 12 years, Anisha is single.
Interview
According to one of her interviews, she stated that:
“In high school, I would buy accessories on my family trips to India and then I would come back and sell them out of the trunk of my car.
I also think we all come from entrepreneurial immigrant families so it’s practically in our DNA.”
And also she stated that her clothing line is size-inclusive.
It ranges from a size 0 to a size 32 which is almost unheard of in the fashion industry.
Our dresses are also eco-conscious and I will be launching the collection later this spring”.
