Angie Lassman is an Emmy award winning broadcast meteorologist who presently works at NBC 6 News. She is among "The Alert Weather Team" on NBC 6 midday and also on 4 p.m. broadcast. Asides forecasting weather, Angie love and passion for climate change makes her tells weekly stories about changing climates and its effects on the environments locally and globally.
Education and Early Life
Angie Lassman hails from Fraser a town in Michigan. She attended Florida Institute of Technology where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from the department of Ocean Engineering and Sciences in 2012,. She proceeded with her Master's degree in the same institution fro the same and earned her master's degree in Meteorology and she also co-author in the book, Climate change and Regional/ Local Responses.
Angie, while in Florida Institute of Technology, was recruited to play volleyball for the institution. She was an all round student as she was a collegiate athlete, she was part of the scientific research team, and also a Facilitator for the Department of Space Sciences in Florida State University where she teaches Law enforcement on proper procedures and how to manage crisis in case of a coronal mass ejection or space weather emergency.[5]
Career
Angie previously worked at FOX 26 KNPN, St Joseph, Missouri as a morning meteorologist between May 2014 and May 2016.
At Fox 26 KNPN, the years was well spent in anchoring and producing weather segments with Baron Omni, she also reports live scene and provides weather forecasts for different locations. Angie, sometimes, also do environmental and severe weather reports using Sony Vegas 15.
She joined NBC 6 WTVJ in May 2014 as a Meteorologist and reporter where she anchors and produces weather segments with WSI Max and Baron on 11 am and 4 pm newscasts. Angie also creates climate and environments stories for weekly segment. She is more than determined to leverage the TV Weather platform to impact the impact the community and provide them with needed information as needed on storm updates and safety information for as long as she is available throughout her career.[1][2][3][4]
Personal Life
Angie always have a positive outlook on everything and this is one of the reasons while she is extremely cool and calm even when she is under pressure.
She loves photography, traveling, fashion and enjoys going to beach.
