Angela Jacobs is an Emmy Award winning Journalist who currently work as a reporter for WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News in Orlando, Florida. She has worked as either a reporter or a sports anchor across several broadcasting stations like WTSP-TV, WKMG-TV, WISC-TV, and so on. She is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina-Columbia.

Angela Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Theatre Speech from the University of South Carolina – Columbia. She had a Specialty Training in TV Power Reporting at Poynter Institute. In 2013, she earned her master’s degree Journalism with a GPA of 4.0 from University of Missouri Columbia.

Angela Jacobs started her career as a Host and Anchor at WISC-TV, Wisconsin where she makes coverage for UW Football in Rose Bowls and sometimes traveled with team to cover NCAA and NIT tournaments. She moved to Orlando, Florida in March 2002 to assume the role of a Sports anchor and reporter at WKMG-TV and she sometimes filled-in as a host for Sunday night’s Sports Jam. While in Orlando, she covered Orlando Magic, UCF and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

She worked as an Anchor and Reporter for eight years (July 2003 to June 2011) at WTSP-TV, Tampa Bay where she also co-host and host sports specialist. While at WTSP, she also worked as a fill-in sport anchor at Tampa CBS affiliate. Her years of excellence in Tampa Bay was rewarded with two regional Emmy Awards and several other awards. She also worked for Fox Sports Net Florida as Post game Reporter and also as a freelance reporter for NBC Sports Network in 2013 where she co-host NBCSN daily hour long Sports Dash show.

She resumed as a Reporter at WFTV Channel 9 Eyewitness News in September 2012. So far, she has covered a lot of impacting stories which include the coverage of a woman who said she was being terrorized by a stalking ex-boyfriend, the alleged stalker was arrested .^[1][2]

Angela Jacobs active sports and enjoy spending time with her family. She is also an amateur photographer, whose world-wide travels include an unforgettable humanitarian trip to India helping child victims of trafficking.
