Dr. Ana Trbovich is Cofounder and Chief Operating Officer of Grid Singularity, a blockchain-based decentralized energy data exchange platform, as well as Full Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration (FEFA). Dr. Trbovich is based in Belgrade, Serbia. [1]
Early Life and Education
A native of Serbia, Dr. Trbovich earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, International Relations, and French Literature from Tufts University in 1996, and remained at Tufts for the following decade to earn both a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public International Law from its Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Concurrently, Dr. Trbovich obtained a Master of Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2001. [1]
Career
From 2002 to 2006 Dr. Trbovich served as Assistant Minister of International Economic Relations in the Government of Serbia, during which she worked on Serbia's accession bid to the European Union. Also in 2006, Dr. Trbovich was appointed to the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration (FEFA), where to this day she remains as a Full Professor of Entrepreneurship. From 2007 to 2010 Dr. Trbovich worked as a Policy & Workforce Development Director on a joint project between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton in Serbia. From 2010 to 2017 Dr. Trbovich was Partner at EuroBalkan Advisors, a local consulting firm, and concurrently served as the Regional Business Development Manager for FCG SIPU, a Swedish consulting firm, from 2012 to 2017. In 2015 Dr. Trbovich cofounded Intersection. Centre for Science and Innovation, a think tank in Belgrade to promote science, research, and innovation in the Balkans. Dr. Trbovich cofounded Grid Singularity in 2016, and presently serves as its Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Trbovich also cofounded the Energy Web Foundation in 2017 and sits on its Foundation Council, and additionally has been a member of the governing board of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) since 2016.
