Education
Brittain graduated from Louisiana State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in print journalism. She went on to attend Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she received a Master's degree in journalism.
Career
She joined the investigative team of The Washington Post in 2013.
Brittain has contributed reporting to a wide range of investigative topics, including unregulated day cars, the Ebola epidemic, and sexual harassment coverage. [1]
Before joining The Post, Brittain was the winner of the George Polk Award for exposing the rampant use of anabolic steroid and human growth hormone by hundreds of police officers in New Jersey. [1]
In 2017, Amy was named a finalist for the Livingston Awards for Young Journalists for her series โSecond Chance City,โ which exposed lapses in the criminal justice system that led to devastating consequences for victims in the District of Columbia. [1]
