In May 2017, Moore's ex-boyfriend, , lit himself on fire in an act of Self-immolation in front of Murphy's Bar, where Moore works.

McLemore was an abusive boyfriend.

He had confronted Moore before lighting himself on fire, and was planning to burn her too.

However, she was able to keep the door closed when he attempted to run inside the bar and burn her.

There is currently a GoFundMe that has raised $25K so far to help Moore with recovery.
