On Sunday, January 14, 2018, Chapman was arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death. [1] Authorities were called to the Loop 101 Overpass at 23rd Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. local time. Residents reported that Chapman was acting erratically. [1]

The woman who found Chapman told police that Chapman had said that she'd tried to kill herself, that she'd killed her boyfriend, and deserved to go to jail.

Chapman told police to go to her home in the area of 1800 West Ocotillo Road.

There they found her dead boyfriend.

[1] She was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Chapman is in jail being held on $1 million bail. [1]
