Zach Choi Choi (born August 27, 1986) is a YouTube star known for his ASMR and mukbangs videos.

He was born on August 27, 1985, he grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was adopted but the details aren’t clear as to whether he was adopted by a South Korean family or he was adopted from South Korea. However, he is South Korean-American.

He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

The name “Choi” isn’t Zach’s real last name, he has been using the pseudonym for a long time, his real last name is unknown.

Zach, right from a young age has always had a love for food, which he pursued as a career.

Growing up, Zach’s face has changed quite a bit, that’s because he has undergone surgery on his face, double eyelid surgery as well as a nose job.

Before he started his online career, he worked as a waiter for a restaurant when he first moved to Los Angeles, California.

After that, he became a fashion blogger, he created a website that he ran himself called “NativetoNowhere”, where he posted commentary on different fashion trends he stumbled upon in LA.

As he ran the website he also did a bit of modelling, he posted the pictures on his social media accounts but they’ve all been removed from his account.

The website is also inactive as of now.

He created a YouTube channel in July 4, 2014; his first video posted in 2018 was titled “ASMR Eating Duck Fat French Fries (NO TALKING).” His most popular video is “MOST POPULAR FOOD FOR ASMR (KFC, ONION RINGS, MOZZARELLA CORN DOG, CHICKEN NUGGETS) NO TALKING” it has over 23 million views currently. He has over 3.1 million subscribers to this channel.

He is known for chewing and eating videos, his fans have never heard his voice in any of his videos as he never talks in his videos.

All of his videos are silent, except from sounds from his chewing, he even remains quiet when doing collaborations with other YouTubers

When starting this career, whispering was a part of his ASMR routine but many people believe that he stopped due to insecurities about his voice.

However, some of Choi's followers were able to uncover some older YouTube videos where Zach can be heard talking using his regular voice.

Zach was involved in some drama along with mukbang YouTubers Stephanie Soo and Nicholas Perry, A.K.A Nikocado Avocado.

The whole drama began when Nik kept pressurizing Steph into talking about Veronica Wang, a Youtuber who promoted Stephanie but along the way, Steph started feeling very uncomfortable around her and decided to be on her own.

This made Stephanie also become really uncomfortable with Nik as he didn’t respect her wishes about not talking about Veronica on their video.

The whole drama made her break down emotionally, and she was absent from the three videos she had planned to feature in along with him and Nik.

She was also very quiet on all her social media platform.

Later on December 21, 2019, she posted a video on her channel titled “Why I am scared of Nikocado Avacado” in the video she explained that she was bullied and threatened by Nik.

She had messaged Nik and Zach saying that she had to cancel her appearance in a Instagram video the next say; which Zach was fine with but Nik got heated after he received the message. Nik then began DM'ing her on @Instagram saying how he was going to do an exposing video on her about the situation and that she was lying to her fans about being "In and out of sleep". Stephanie also claimed that Nik took photos of her home security system and her in the bathroom even after being denied permission to take the photos. Nik denied the claims which resulted in fans saying that if he truly is innocent he should release the photos which Nik wouldn't do.

Nik then uploaded a hour-and-a-half response video, where he said that Stephanie was “self-serving.”

He said that she intentionally made faces that looked like she was uncomfortable when she actually was okay with talk about Veronica on their video.

Stephanie then posted another video explaining how Nik manipulated all of the viewers, displaying photo proof that Nick was indeed lying.

She ended her video saying that she is no longer scared of Nik and she wants nothing to do him henceforth.

Up to this point Zach wasn't too involved in the drama until Nik revealed texts between him and Zach in a video,

In the texts, Nik talked about Stephanie and the drama, the texts revealed that Zach told Nik to lay off and leave Stephanie alone.

However, Zach didn't give permission to Nick to reveal these texts and was then also harassed by Nik.

In one of his Instagram post, Zach revealed that he and Stephanie have gotten their lawyers and are planning to sue Nik.
