Yolanda Renee King is an American young Public speaker who is the granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr. ^[1]

Biography

Early Life

Yolanda was born and raised in the state of Georgia to parents, Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters. She grew up in the city of Atlanta. She was named after her aunt, Yolanda King. She is the first and only grandchild of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.

Yolanda is a young kid who has been a part of several ceremonies and events related to the Legacy in the work her grandfather, Martin Luther King Jr., left behind.

March for Our Lives

On March 24th, 2018, young Yolanda Renee King took part in a speech that took place in Washington DC in which she opened with: “I have a dream that enough is enough.” She continued in her opening words as saying the following :

“My grandfather had a dream that his four little children will not be judged by the color of the skin, but the content of their character...I have a dream that enough is enough.
And that this should be a gun-free world, period.”

The speech has since gone viral on the internet and is considered a powerful moment that took place during the march.
