Confederate flag Incident
Moments when Ybia argues with with some of the men about the vehicle that has the Confederate flag on it.
On the afternoon of Saturday June 17th, 2017, Ybia took her young daughter with her to enjoy the 32nd Annual Highland Creek Heritage Festival, a community event at Old Kingston and Morrish roads.
Upon arriving she noticed a vehicle had the Confederate Flag on the roof and license plates.
The car was a replica of the vehicle central to the television show The Dukes of Hazzard.
Ybia immediately began recording her experience on Facebook live using her smartphone. She began to reprimand the people involved in bringing the car to the event, including a friend of the person who owns the car, as well as one of the organizers of the event.
Ybia stating the following concerning herself vis a vis the event: āI was in shock at first (when I saw that vehicle).
My heart started beating... Iām appalled that Iām the first person to flip out about this.
It was very painful for me.ā
