The "Woman Yelling at Cat" meme is a mashup of two lesser memes—"Taylor Armstrong Crying and Pointing" and "Confused Cat at Dinner". ^[1]

The first half of the meme comes from the December 5th, 2011 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills called "Malibu Beach Party From Hell". Taylor Armstrong cries during an argument while cast member Kyle Richards attemps to soothe her. The specific picture was published in a December 6th 2011, Daily Mail article summarizing the episode. ^[2]

The other half of the meme was found on Tumblr. On June 19th, 2018, a user named deadbefordeath posted a photograph of a white cat in front of a plate vegetables, titling the post "he no like vegetals." ^[3]

The two memes sprang up individually as reactions on various social media sites, it wasn't until May 1st, 2019 that a Twitter user named @MISSINGEGIRL fused the images, writing "These photos together is making me lose it." in a tweet that has since gone viral. ^[4]

The meme was used loosely here and there, but it didn't really take off until June 9th, 2019, when Redditor Apple-Trump posted a meme which gained over 38,600 likes, it read: "Girls when they see a spider.
