William Va’ana is a Hawaiian resident known for his striking resemblance to the Disney character of Maui from the animated film, Moana . ^{[1] [undefined] [undefined]}

Va'ana is from the area of Oahu. He grew up in the area of Waipio which is where he's had most of his upbringing for most of his life. ^[undefined]

He now lives in the city of Nānākuli. He currently works as a cashier and staff at a Costco in Kapolei. ^{[1] [undefined]}

On January 9th, 2017, a radio personality by the name of Rella Rivera was with her young daughters shopping inside of a Costco when they encountered William Va'ana.

The little girls shouted "Maui", in reference to the memorable character from the film Moana . ^{[undefined] [undefined]}

During the excitement, Rivera took footage of Va'ana playing the part for the two kids.
