Strategy

Her strategy is to stay open and not to feel overwhelmed. She believes in baby steps, though it’s actually very easy for her to change – if someone informs her of something she can do to improve. She tries to implement it ASAP. She loves learning about foods that are healthy for her, so she allows herself time to experiment with that, being patient of timing and keeping aware of how she reacts physically and emotionally.
"It’s easy to stick to goals when I feel good inside and out, and I like the challenge of trying new ways of eating."
Education
Whitney graduated from Emerson College in 2004 with an academic degree in film production. [22]

Reason for becoming a journalist
Veganism inspired her to become a journalist, a career path she never thought she’d take – it came organically out of having more passion about being vegan.
"Being vegan has given me a whole new outlook on life.
I feel more connected to my body and the planet.
I’m so much healthier, especially since I started eating a whole foods diet and cut out gluten and soy, and reduced the amount of refined sugar I eat."
