Career

She is also a contributor and roving correspondent for Fortune Magazine.

Walt has reported from more than 30 countries, though wars, terrorism, revolutions and natural disasters.

She has tracked the Arab Spring since its first stirrings, and covered the revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, seeing Muammar Gaddafi close up both alive and dead within a few short months.

Her work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, and Businessweek.
