Vincent Scotto is the former assistant principal at a Staten Island, New York elementary school, PS 22 The Graniteville School. In 2015 he earned $120,000 in his position as assistant principal.

Vincent Scotto is a married 43 year old father of two, with a 13 year old daughter and a 2 year old son.

Stabbing

Vincent Scotto allegedly slashed and stabbed his wife's lover, John Carosella on Saturday June 5, 2016.

When Scotto spotted Carosella driving along Greaves Avenue near Scotto's home at noon, he reached through the driver’s side window and began slicing and stabbing Carosella with a razor.

Carosella was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital, but was not seriously wounded.

John Carosella the 59 year old victim had allegedly harassed Scotto’s family driving past their house at all hours, and even getting out to scream “Whore!” ever since the Scotto's wife ended the long-term affair two years ago.

"He (Carosella) tormented Vinny,” said a woman who lives next door to the family.

A neighbor said that “I think he (Scotto) was provoked.

If your wife is having an affair and the guy (Carosella) is coming around your house and tormenting you for two years, it was only a matter of time.”

Scotto was charged with assault and weapons possession and has been reassigned from his position as assistant principal and won’t be allowed to return until the criminal case is resolved.
