Vanessa L iell is an award-winning communicator and leader with a career of over 20 years.
She is currently the CEO of N2N Communications located in Sydney, Australia.
Career
Liell began her career in 1992 working as an Accountant Manager at Social Change Media [1]- an organization devoted to providing online marketing solutions to profit and non-profit sectors.
After four years, Liell began to work for the Asian Cultural Forum on Development as a Human rights Project Manager. While working for this organization, Liell had the responsibility to "promote peace, harmony, and civil rights"[undefined]. Located in Bangkok, Thailand, Liell worked for this organization until 1998.
In 2000, Liell was employed as a Senior Account Director at Horizon Communication Group; a job which she held for six years.
Founded by the former President of the Public Relations Institute of Australia Liz McLaughlin, Horizon Communication Group helped hundred of companies- big and small- by using strategic communication programs and campaigns [undefined].
Finally, Liell began to work for N2N Communications in 2006 as a Group Account Director, then a Managing Partner, and finally as the Chief Executive Officer- a job in which she is still currently employed.
N2N Communications, which is a part of a larger conglomerate named The Herd Agency, is one of Australia's top public relation agencies, and has received a multitude of awards and recognitions.
Of these awards, N2N Communications received the Cannes lion award in 2015 [undefined], as well as the PRIA 2016 award for National Campaign of the Year [undefined]. N2N Communications has worked alongside many renown companies, such as Facebook, Airbnb, and UberX , and has solidified itself as a global, successful company.
Education
Vanessa Liell began her education by going to SCEGGS Darlinghurst, which was ranked in the top 10 of Australian private high schools in 2012 [undefined]. After graduating from SCEGGS, Liell enrolled into Charles Sturt University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. In 2015, Liell graduated from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) with a masters in management, and now she is currently pursuing a masters in Business Administration from MGSM [undefined].
Personal
Liell is a very active member in the Women in Media organization, and strives to provide more media-work opportunities for women [undefined].Other organizations in which Liell dedicates time as a contributor or judge includeThe Marketing Academy, the B&T Awards, Mumbrella, and the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).
Additionally, Liell has always been very engaged within campaigns for Human Rights; acting as a volunteer for the Australian Volunteers International organization. She also lent a helping hand to those in Bangkok, Thailand while working with the Asian Cultural Forum on Development. She even participated in a two month long training process where she temporarily served as a NGO delegate for the 54th United Nations commission for Human Rights in Geneva.
She has personally won several awards for her accomplishments and contributions; most notably the B&T's 2016 Women in Media PR Leadership award [undefined], as well as the Mumbrella Comms Con 2016 PR Professional of the Year award.
Liell has three children of her own, a husband, and four beautiful nieces and nephews.
