Urooj Rahman (born 1988) is a lawyer from Brooklyn, New York. She is accused of hurling a molotov cocktail at an empty New York City Police Department van outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene early on Saturday morning May 30, 2020, during the protest of George Floyd in Brooklyn, NY.[1][6]

Arrest & charges
Rahman is accused of throwing a molotov cocktail into a New York Police Van during a protest early Saturday morning on May 30, 2020, during a tense confrontation between police and demonstrators near the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. [1]
The federal prosecutors then charged her with attempting to damage or destroy law-enforcement vehicles.
If convicted she faces a mandatory minimum sentences of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison.[6]
Her bond was set at $250,000 by a magistrate judge and is expected to be released.[8]
