TYNAN (born August 21, 1993) is a DJ and electronic music producer from Oklahoma City. He has released music under major labels such as Never Say Die, Deadbeats, Bite This!, WAKAAN, and Kannibalen. TYNAN music can be categorized in multiple genres including dubstep, heavy bass, dark trap, and weird bass. Some of his most popular songs include "Dead Wrong", "Rover", "Hardbinger", "Extraterrestrial", and "Mal De Mar."
Biography
TYNAN grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hestarted playing drums and guitar and is mostly self-taught. In high school, he was part of a math rock band and participated in jam sessions with others. He started getting into music production in 2011 after hearing dubstep for the first time, listening to Bassnectar's "Here We Go" and Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites;" Skrillex's track particularly blew him away.
TYNAN's name is actually his middle name, which his dad gave him after he was born with oddly dark skin.
The Tynan surname comes from an Anglicized version of the Gaelic name “O Teimhneain,” which is derived from the word “teimhean,” meaning “dark.”
TYNAN's influences include The Fall of Troy and his producer contemporaries.
