Layla Shapiro, better known as TOOPOOR, is a fashionista, brand designer, and singer based in Los Angeles, California. She is originally from Palm Springs.

TOOPOOR grew up in Palm Springs and was homeschooled.

When she was 16, she used to steal designer pieces from thrift stores and post them on her Tumblr. Years later when she moved to LA, she was broke and struggled to make money, which inspired her to tattoo "Too Poor" on her knees with a pencil and needle. She took on the name as a moniker and bribed the Twitter handle from someone although she has yet to pay the person.

TOOPOOR is inspired by Modern Technology to create simple pieces with intricate designs.

She has been featured in outlets such as Galore, Complex, Bullet magazine, and The Cobra Shop. Today she has her own self-titled clothing line, T OOPOOR.

On February 7th, 2019, TOOPOOR released the music video for her song "Crazy Girls."

On June 20, 2019, she released the new music video for her song "Lamented."

As of September 2, 2019, the video has 1.1 million views.^[18]
