Gauda is a serial entrepreneur with deep history in security, storage, and SaaS businesses. He personally developed and sold enterprise SaaS products to several Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Gauda has over 20 years of software architecture, development (C, C++, Java, PHP, Objective C, and Python) and infrastructure (Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows) experience. Tony mostly specializes in solving hard problems, software development, product vision and product development, leadership, and enterprise architecture.
Career Path
1990-1994 Tony worked at his father's computer consulting firm, Martineau Gauda & Associates, as a programmer for a Fraud detection system sold to the cellular industry world-wide.
1999-2001 Invented a SaaS rights managed encrypted email system for secure corporate communications: PrivMail. PrivMail enabled companies to centrally manage and protect important information after it left the corporate firewall. Funded by local angel investors PrivMail was piloted by some of the largest companies in the Midwest and was well received before the dot com crash.
2001-2005 Grail Inc., based out of St. Louis, Missouri, was one of the pioneering companies in the enterprise level SaaS market. The flagship product, ServiceSuite, provides live chat, desktop remote control, centralized administration, and powerful analytics in a web based service. ServiceSuite powers the customer service departments of several Fortune 1000 companies today and has serviced several million customers world-wide.
2005-2010 worked as a technical leader at risk systems department at MasterCard Worldwide. Tony was honored 6 times with various awards and recognition for outstanding technical contributions to the department.
2011 invented and built the world's first infinite streaming hard drive for consumers. Scaled the team to over 50 people and millions in revenue.
2011-2013 was a CEO of Bitcasa.
2013-2018 Tony founded ThinAir company in Palo Alto, where he worked as a CEO.
