Education
Roberts studied at Temple University College of Communications where she graduated with honors.
Career
Roberts began her journalistic career in 1985 in the middle of the war in Central America.
Roberts began producing reports for the British television agency Visnews and later for the American network NBC. Always behind the scenes, Roberts reported from conflict zones and at times, under the bullets in the mountains of Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador.
Other assignments from hers led her to cover news events in Cuba, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico.
At the beginning of the 90's, Roberts moved to Miami to work with the WCIX channel of the CBS network as Head of Assignments, but it was not until 1993 that she worked for the first time on Hispanic television with the program "Primera Hora" from Telemundo, which led her back to focus on Latin America.[4]
Throughout her extensive journalistic career, she has been the recipient of several awards including the Emmy and the Peabody.
