The Walled Off Hotel is a Hotel in Bethlehem that overlooks the wall separating Israel and Palestine in occupied West Bank. It was financed by renowned Anonymous artist, Banksy, who also collaborated on its design as his vision was to have a hotel that invites people from both sides of the conflict. ^[0]

The locale situated on the border of Westbank used to be a pottery workshop. The hotel since gathered hundreds of crowds when it was announced of its opening to the press and exclusive guests. ^[4]

Israel says that the wall was created to ward off terrorist attacks, yet International Court of Justice says that the wall is illegal. Palestinians deem the wall another way for Israel to grab land. ^[13]

The location has had more international tourists due to Banksy's brand than the Nativity scene of Jesus. ^[2]

Anyone can enter and visit the hotel except Israelis, who are banned by Israeli law from entering the occupied West Bank. ^[3]

Much of the design and the concept of the hotel draws from the conflict in the region.

The hotel took 14 months to build and it is insured for $10 million due to the amount of art works by Banksy located inside the hotel. The operation was done in secrecy. ^[14]

The design, specifically the presidential suite, is decorated immaculately to resemble a gentleman's club from colonial times.
