The Walled Off Hotel
The Walled Off Hotel
The Walled Off Hotel is a Hotel in Bethlehem that overlooks the wall separating Israel and Palestine in occupied West Bank. It was financed by renowned Anonymous artist, Banksy, who also collaborated on its design as his vision was to have a hotel that invites people from both sides of the conflict. [0]
Background
The view of the wall from the hotel.
The locale situated on the border of Westbank used to be a pottery workshop. The hotel since gathered hundreds of crowds when it was announced of its opening to the press and exclusive guests. [4]
Israel says that the wall was created to ward off terrorist attacks, yet International Court of Justice says that the wall is illegal. Palestinians deem the wall another way for Israel to grab land. [13]
Interior
Several areas of the interior.
The design, specifically the presidential suite, is decorated immaculately to resemble a gentleman's club from colonial times.
