Tess Rinearson is an Engineering Manager at Chain (company). He is based in San Francisco.

Rinearson is a graduated of the Lakeside School. She enrolled in the Univeristy of Pennsylvania before transferring to Carnegie Mellon University. Rinearson would drop out to join Medium full-time.

Early in her career, Rinearson was an intern for the Valve Corporation, CloudMine, and Microsoft. She became an Engineering Intern at Medium.com in May 2013 and joined full-time as a Software Engineer in July of that year. Rinearson became a Systems Engineer at Chain, a company that builds cryptographic ledger systems for financial systems, in April 2015 and was promoted to Engineering Manager in September 2017.

In her free time, Rinearson keeps busy by organizing unconferences, judging hackathons, and teaching high school girls about cryptography.
