Taymor is originally from Long Beach, California. His mother is from Long Beach and his father is from Compton. He lived there for the first 8 years of his life before moving to Las Vegas. A year and a half later when his father got out of jail, they moved to the east side of Arlington, Texas. He moved to the west side in 7th grade and later attended Martin High School for his freshman year. He was kicked out of Martin and then was placed in the alternative high school, Turning Point. It was at this time that Taymor started "mobbin" in the streets on the east side. When he was a freshman, Tay met his future manager, Ezra Averill.
TAY-K started releasing music on SoundCloud in mid-2015 with the first song being "BIFF XANNEN." Several of his most popular songs, "Sly Cooper" and "Megaman," are named after popular video game characters. He released the compilation project #SantanaWorld on July 18th, 2017.

Taymor is currently in custody and is connected to several crimes in Texas.
He was charged murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker during a home invasion robbery in Mansfield, TX.
Taymor was one of seven people connected to the crime.
Taymor was put under house arrest but cut off his bracelet on March 27, marking his escape with the tweet "fuck dis house arrest shit fuck 12 they gn have 2 catch me on hood."
United States Marshals Service would describe Taymor as a "violent fugitive."
Taymor is connected to a murder in San Antonio while he was on the run.
Also, he was identified as the attacker in a May 25th robbery of 65-year-old Skip Pepe.
Walking in Cravens Park near his home, Pepe was held up at gunpoint by Taymor, who would assault him after Pepe refused to give him his money.
In his case, Taymor is being represented by entertainment lawyer James McMillan (Entertainment Lawyer) who has represented the likes of Kodak Black in the past as well as attorney Trent Loftin. Taymore will be tried as an adult. Loftin believes that Taymor will be cleared of all charges. On August 30th, Tamory's case was pushed back due to lack of evidence.

Taymor was captured in Elizabeth, New Jersey on June 30th. He is going to be charged as an adult. On the day of his arrest, he released the music video for the song "The Race." In less than two months of its release, the video has amassed 32 million views. Rappers Lil Bibby and Fat Nick have tweeted in support of TAY-K. His story was featured in the New York Times. "The Race" has since reached 52 on the Billboard Hot 100.
