Suzette van der Merwe is a past beauty queen from South Africa. She was named Miss South Africa in the year 1990, a title which has brought her to stardom with numerous benefits following. ^[1]

Born in 1968, Suzette recently had a celebration in a tropical island to mark her 50th birthday.

Suzette wore a white swimsuit for the occasion which took place in Mozambique.^[2]

Academics

Suzette had her high school education at Eldoraigne High School from 1982 to 1986. She thereafter proceeded to University of South Africa where she studied Journalism and communication.

Spouse

She is married to her husband Mark Weston, a businessman. The duo celebrated their wedding in January and the location for the ceremony was Cape Town followed with a second ceremony in Stilbaai. Her outfits for both weddings were made by the same designer.^[3]

Medical Operation

Suzette had suffered severe back pain for months and recently led her to undergo a medical operation in her neck area. She is reported to have said that she had no clue she had injured her neck but was however thankful that the operation was a success. She stated that:

“I woke up one morning in January with a muscle spasm in my left shoulder blade,”

She further explained that:

“I hoped a good massage would clear it up but it just got worse. Later, the spasm spread into my neck, shoulder, arm, hand, and even my left buttock.”^[4]
