Surf Curse is a rock band from Reno, Nevada.

The band consists of Jacob Rubeck (guitar, vocals) and Nicholas Rattigan (drums, vocals) ^[8].

Jacob and Nick first met while growing up in Henderson, NV ^{[3] [4]}.

They moved to Reno to attend school at the University of Nevada, Reno and formed Surf Curse during that time.

*LA Weekly * magazine have described the duo as "equally inspired by the classic surf-pop reveries of The Beach Boys and the fuzzed-out minimalism of The Ramones"^[0].

Music Releases

They released Sad Boys EP and Buds in 2013 on Big Joy Records.

Surf Curse recorded Buds at the Los Angeles-famed The Smell music venue ^{[1] [2]}.

Touring

The band has toured extensively at local venues and music festivals throughout the United States and Mexico City ^[5].

Skateboarding Videos

Surf Curse's music has been featured in skate videos for Tony Hawk's Birdhouse Skateboards and Tonic Skateboards ^{[6] [7]}.
