Early Life & Education
Smix was born in Seoul, South Korea. She grew up with an older brother. When she was 10 months old, she and her family moved to Queens in New York City.
Growing up, she followed her brother's footsteps playing games on his Windows 98 computer.
With regards to her academics, she went to high school in Manhattan. She then attended Washington University in Saint Louis, double majoring in Anthropology and Psychology, minoring in Korean, and graduating in 2012.
Career

Sue Lee began her career during her college years in 2009, translating professional eSports matches for online fan forums in the U.S.; competitors were often Korean. She focused on her favorite video game: StarCraft.
She moved on to translating and hosting live tournaments like ELEAGUE, BlizzCon, and DreamHack.
She is now a Partnerships Associates at Twitch where she scouts and acquires partners for eSports events; the platform has over 45 million viewers.
Awards & Accomplishments
In June 2017, Adweek named her one of the 35 most powerful women in sports.
In November 2017, Sue Lee was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018. She was listed in the 'Games' category.
