He Graduated from Yale University with a degree in History, and was also a member of the SigEP fraternity. He wrote a senior thesis that focused on Sexual discrimination in the airline industry which won Yale's John Addison Porter Prize for excellence in American history.
He served as the editor in chief of the Yale Herald, Yale's weekly newspaper, and the managing editor of the Yale Political Monthly.
