Stephen Brumby was a 14 year old from Sarasota, Florida.
Death
On July 3, 2016 Stephen Brumby was accidentally in his neck by his father, William Brumby. [1] The incident occurred at the High Noon Gun Range in Sarasota, Florida while William was showing his family how to shoot guns and to not be afraid of them. [1]
A shell casing had ricocheted into William Brumby's shirt. When he went to pluck it out, using the hand in which he was holding a loaded handgun, he accidentally pulled the trigger and shot his son who was standing behind him. [1]
Stephen was shot in the neck in his Jugular Vein. [1]
Stephen was rushed to Sarasota Memorial Hospital shortly after 3 p.m., but died there of his injuries. [1]
His family has set up a Go Fund Me to help with funeral cost.
