Stefani Lineva was a -athlete at Binghamton University. She was on the school's tennis team. Stefani enjoyed traveling and recently ventured to Rome. She is remembered by her peers as being kind-hearted and caring for others.
Early Life and Education
Stefani is originally from Ruse, Bulgaria. She moved to the United States with her family and settled in Middle Village, NY in Queens. Stefani attended Forest Hills High School where she was a standout on the tennis team, becoming runner-up in the PSAL individual finals as a senior.
College
Stefani attended Adelphi University and played on their tennis team. During her time there she earned Northeast-10 Rookie of the Year for 2014-15 season after going a combined 31-6 in singles and doubles, including a 22-1 record against conference opponents. The next year, she transferred to Binghamton University where she clinched the program's first Northeast 10 Conference (NE-10) championship with 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles against Stonehill College. Stefani was a four-time selection for the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and intended to study psychology and pre-med in college.
Death
On December 4th, 2016, at 2:05 am, Stefani's body was found on Route 434 near the Pennsylvania Avenue exit. [1] She was taken to UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, New York where she was pronounced dead by medical examiners. The injuries on her body are consistent with that of a Hit and run. Police are investigating the incident. [1]
