Alleged Group Sex with Student

Shelley Dufresne was accused of having sex with a 16 year old student of hers.

Shelley Dufresne, 34, used the online alias “Madison Mexicano” to “communicate exclusively” with the student during their alleged relationship between August to September 2014 in Jefferson Parish.

The messages between Dufresne and thestudent signaled the two kissed for the first time on Aug. 22, 2014, in her classroom. After a football game that night, Dufresne and the student had sex in her car twice, prosecutors said. ^[1]

Dufresne was the teen’s English teacher at Destrehan High School.

At one point, Dufresne took the teen to Rachel Respess’ home.

Respess, another former teacher, also had sex with the teen, authorities said at the time.

Law Suit

Prosecutors allege the teen took cellphone video of Respess while she was sleeping and showed it to his football teammates.

Both teachers were eventually caught when the student bragged about his encounter with them.

The suit says Shelley kissed him in her classroom during school hours.

The relationship soon became sexual, and the two had intercourse more than 40 times in the ensuing weeks.

Dufresne performed oral sex on the boy as well, the suit says.

The petition says that when fellow teacher Rachel Respess, 25, found out about the relationship, she did not turn in her co-worker and in fact offered to let her use Respess’ Kenner apartment.

“[Rachel Respess] ultimately joined the abuse by having sex with (the boy) and Ms. Dufresne in her apartment following a Destrehan High School football game,” the suit says.

She faces two counts of carnal knowledge of a minor and 10 years in prison with a $5,000 fine.
