Sheena Chestnut Greitens is an American author, college professor, and scholar, who currently serves as first lady of Missouri. [1]
Personal Life
She is the oldest child of Dr. Janet Chestnut and Dr. Tim Chestnut of Spokane, Washington. Sheena married Eric Greitens in 2011, and they are proud parents of two sons, Joshua and Jacob.
Growing up, she enjoyed Scottish highland dancing, cheerleading, her church youth group, and spending time outdoors with her parents and siblings.
Education
Sheena schooled at Stanford University, where she graduated with a B.A. in political science, and Oxford University, where she studied as a Marshall Scholar. She earned a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University.
Career
She serves as an Assistant Professor with the University of Missouri, where she does research and teaches Missouri’s students about democracy and dictatorship, East Asia politics, and American national security and foreign policy in Asia.
