Shayne Coplan is an American entrepreneur and cryptocurrency early adopter based in New York City. Coplan is regarded as the youngest participant in the Ethereum presale. ^[9]

He introduce Polymarket, a prediction market on Ethereum in 2020.^[8]

Coplan was born and raised in New York City in the Upper West Side with his mother. He is an only child. Coplan has always been interested in Technology and learned to program when he was 14. He graduated from The Beacon School, a selective college-preparatory public high school in Hell's Kitchen. In the summer of 2015, Coplan interned at Genius where he helped construct their lyric app on Spotify. Coplan first got into crypto in 2013 mining Litecoin with a homemade miner. He discovered Ethereum in 2014 when he was 15 and participated in the presale July of that year.

Before he enrolled in New York University as a computer science major, Coplan interned at the venture-funded Ethereum (ETH) startup Chronicled. When Ethereum (ETH) began its explosive rise in May 2017, Coplan left school to pursue projects in the blockchain space. After thinking of ways to earn interest on holding cryptocurrency for many years, Coplan founded TokenUnion as a decentralized, non-custodial way to get rewarded for holding cryptocurrencies.
