Shane Stant is a California Marijuana Business owner known for causing the infamous injury that nearly left Nancy Kerrigan completely out of the 1994 Olympics. ^{[2] [7]}He is currently the business owner of a legal Marijuana growing operation called Greenlit13. ^[0]

Stant was born and raised in the state of Arizona. According to interviews with his sister, Maile Ualani Haili Stant, Stant had abusive childhood growing up. ^{[1] [0]}

By the time he was an adult, he lived in the city of Chandler, Arizona for many years. At the age of 22 years old, he became a drifter in the state of Arizona. ^[1]

A few days before Christmas in 1993, Stant was contacted by his uncle, Derrick Stant,

who asked him if he would like to "Take down" a figure skater for $6,500.

At the time, Stant was a drifter who didn't have a path in life and no job.

He was short of cash so he decided to commit.

He traveled to Oregon to meet with Gilooly and Eckhardt, who served prison time for their involvement in the attack.

After agreeing on the money and a plan of attack, Stant was flown to Massachusetts.

He arrived at the Cape Cod skating rink where Nancy Kerrigan trained.

He made a visit on January 4th, and couldn't find her.

He traveled to Detroit and infiltrated the Cobo Arena by posing as a cameraman. Once he saw her alone, he was able to wack her with a baton behind her knee. He left her in agony. He was later arrested by the FBI after turning himself in. ^[1]
