Shana Fisher was an American teenager from Texas. She is one of the 10 victims murdered by Dimitrios Pagourtzis in the Santa Fe High School Shooting. Her mother, Sadie Baze, has publicly stated in the media that for months her daughter turned down advances made by Pagourtzis, the school shooter and her killer.
Biography
Shana was born in the state of Texas to parents Sadie Baze and Timothy Thomas. Around the age of 4 or 5, Shana moved away from her parents. She was raised by her grandma and grandpa, Dana & Quinton Fisher.
Fisher was a sophomore student at Santa Fe High School.

On May 18th, 2018, Dimitri entered the school premises of Santa Fe High School- his former school, with the intention to murder his fellow students. Heavily armed with what several witnesses claim to be an Assault rifle, and several other firearms, he entered a classroom searching for particular individuals to shoot down. He killed at least 10 people inside. He wounded dozens of other students.
Dimitri entered the classroom dedicated to art class searching for students.
Students were hiding inside of a closet as Dimitri walked around with his shotgun.
When Dimitri exited the classroom, the students hiding in the closet decided to barricade the classroom door.
As they desperately attempted to barricade the door, Dimitri returned to the classroom and pushed the door open.
He looked around and spotted the student he had been looking for and yelled, "Surprised!".
According to several testimonies and witnesses at the scene, the student that Dimitri had been looking for was Shana.
He went ahead and shot her in the chest with his shotgun.
Dimitri taunted and made fun of his victims during the attack according to survivors.
Students Deedra Van Ness' daughter and Isabelle Laymance, survived the shooting by hiding in a classroom closet.
In a Facebook post Saturday titled "longest day of my life," she said her daughter told her the gunman was "yelling Woo Hoo!" as he fired in the classroom next door.
Students reported seeing the suspect wearing a trench coat, a t-shirt with 'Born to Kill' written on it and army boots.
The school was evacuated and the alleged shooter was taken into custody around 9 a.m. local time.
A second person of interest, also believed to be a student at the school, was detained and questioned by the police.
Police found explosives on the campus that were not detonated.
The shotgun and 38. handgun he used belonged to his father.
His journal was found at the time of Pagourtzis' arrest - police learned that he wanted to commit suicide.

For hours, several law enforcement agents including the FBI, investigated the home of Pagourtzis and its vicinity for explosives.
Rejection of Dimitrios Pagourtzis
According to the mother of, Shana Fisher, for about four months, her daughter faced constant advances from Dimitri and he continued to decline and reject him.
As Dimitri persisted and became aggressive, Shana stood up to him and embarrassed him in front of class.
Shana had done this a week prior to Dimitri's mass shooting at the school.
According to testimonies, including her mother - Shana was the first victim in Dimitri's shooting.
According to the long time step-sister of Shana, Candi Thurman, she says that Shana's biological mother, Sadie Baze, would not have known whether Dimitri made advances to her daughter as she was never present in her life.
In another report, Pagourtzis' lawyer has stated that he has not heard any reports of anyone saying that his client pursued Shana, and that he has not heard anything at all. [1]
