Vega hailed from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. [1] She was employed as a Customer service manager at Walmart. Her career in customer service spanned from positions at McDonald's, Denny's, and Wendy's.
Vega was also a young mother.
She was in a relationship with Steven Kuzminski since March 2, 2017.
Death
Just after midnight on Monday January 22, 2018, Midland police officers were dispatched to Vega and Kuzminski's Santa Fe Apartment complex for a disturbance call.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Shakira Vega, along with Steven Kuzminski, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. [1]
Investigators ruled their deaths as a murder suicide. [1]
