Sergio Pino is a Miami property developer and former banker.
He is the founder and president of Century Homebuilders Group.
[0]He was also a founder and executive at US Century Bank before it was bailed out and eventually bought out.
The bank he founded, US Century Bank, made large loans to developments launched by Pino and other insiders.
During the financial crisis the bank lost lots of money as its loans went sour.
It was bailed out with TARP money and sold off after Pino stepped down.
Pino's family came to the U.S. from Cuba on the late 1960s.
He ran a plumbing equipment business before getting into property development and banking.
