The Ultimate Fighter and UFC stint
Saul Rogers was part of Conor McGregor's Team McGregor on The Ultimate Fighter 22. Rogers had defeated three opponents to win a spot in the lightweight tournament but he was cut from the UFC when it was found that he had lied on his visa application.
UFC President Dana White had the following to say regarding Saul Rogers' departure from the UFC.
"He lied on his application, stuff that you have to fill out for the athletic commission.
It’s not good."

Saul Rogers issued a statement in response to being scrapped from the UFC due to the visa issue:
"This was not done with any malicious or devious intent, but nonetheless, it was my mistake and I accept the consequences.
I can assure you that this is not going to stop me from achieving my dreams and I’ll use this experience to come back stronger than ever."
