Sarah Overby was a 17-year-old from Greenfield, Indiana.

Sarah grew up in Greenfield and attended Greenfield-Central High School. A senior, she was going graduate high school in June 2017. In her free time, Sarah enjoyed going on adventures and hanging out with friends. She is remembered for her contagious smile, fearless nature, and kindness towards others.

During the early morning of May 2nd, Sarah was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on State Road 9

when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole.

The accident happened just north of the intersection of East County Road 1000 North and State Road 9 near the Hancock/Madison County line around 1 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
