Personal life
She grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, and graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at the University of Arizona, where she studied political science and journalism. [3]
Career
Her reporting has taken her from Capitol Hill to the campaign trail, where she reported on the 2018 Senate race in Florida and was the only reporter embedded with former Sen. Bill Nelson's campaign, which resulted in a grueling 12-day recount after the race was too close to call on Election Night. [2]
Before relocating to Washington, Samantha-Jo traveled the nation reporting on the 2016 presidential election for Huffington Post.
Her assignments took her from the Iowa caucus to the New Hampshire primary along with contests in six additional states. Samantha-Jo's career began in Des Moines, Iowa where she served as a political reporter for WOI-TV.
Samantha-Jo Roth joined Spectrum News' Washington D.C. bureau in October 2017.
