Samantha Cohen, known admirably by her majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, as "The Panther", is an Australian member of the Royal Victorian Order as a commander. [1]She is currently the interim Private Secretary of Meghan Markle as appointed by the Queen.

Cohen was born and raised in Brisbane for most of her life. ^[1] According to an interview back in 2007, she admitted to not being Jewish, or from a Jewish family. She indicated that her Great-Grandmother on her father's side perhaps was Jewish.

She is an alum of Brisbane All Hallows Catholic School.

Cohen graduated with a Journalism degree from the University of Queensland. ^[1]

After college she worked a number of jobs, including the Sunshine Coast Daily.

She would later work government jobs related to civil service and public relations.

She worked for Liberal ministers in both the Queensland and Federal governments.

In 2001, while on a trip to London she answered a job ad as a media personnel at Buckingham Palace. She was given the role as media minder and has been working for the Royal family since. ^[1]

In 2010, she became a part of the Queen's private office.

The Queen would later call her "The Panther", for her fiesty way of working.

In 2016, she was appointed the Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

In 2017, she resigned as one of the Queen's secretary, and agreed to take on the role as interim Secretary to Meghan Markle for six months.
