Sahar Nasr

Dr. Sahar Nasr (Arabic: د. سحر نصر) serves as Minister of Investment and International Coöperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the government headed by Prime minister Sherif Ismail and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Nasr was sworn in on 16 February 2017. [1]

Career

Prior to government service, Nasr had spent 17 years at the World Bank in Egypt, most recently as a Program Leader. Nasr concurrently serves as a Professor of Economics at the American University in Cairo. [1]

Education

Nasr earned a BA (1985) and MA (1990) in Economics from the American University in Cairo, followed by a PhD in the same discipline from Cairo University in 2002.
