Career
After graduating from Stanford University, Safiya Nygaard decided to co-create a web series called Tiger Dad Comedy. She writes the directs, and produces the content for it. [6]

Safiya Nygaard started working at Buzzfeed in April 2015. She began as a video production intern and eventually became a video fellow later that same year.
She became a full-time video producer in November 2015.
During her time there, she became a co-founding member and co-creator of the Ladylike series and helped the BuzzFeedYellow channel increase their subscriber count by approximately 1.7 million. [6]

Safiya is an avid Harry Potter fan and lover of pop culture. She is of Caucasian, Hispanic, South Asian, Native American, and Middle Eastern descent and is of Muslim faith. The head of the Buzzfeed video department Andrew Gauthier helped her and Lizz Warner prank one of the Buzzfeed staff on camera. [1]
Safiya was interviewed about her morning routine for a Buzzfeed article. She states that she is not a morning person at all. She has three alarms: one for 6:50 a.m., one for 6:55 a.m., and one for 7:02 a.m. Once she wakes up at 7:02, showers with shampoo and conditioner and oil pulls with coconut water to whiten her teeth and battle cavities. Fashion
Safiya has a fear of bodycon dresses. She explains that she doesn't like "being exposed," and that she prefers a flowy dress in case she wants to have a big lunch. [11]
Relationship
Safiya met Tyler Williams met in college. However, they did not date in college. In mid-2014, they rekindled their friendship in Los Angeles right after Safiya graduated (two years after Tyler graduated). They met again during her first night out in L.A. visiting some mutual friends from Tyler's A Capela group. They didn't officially go out as a couple until a couple months after they re-met. [12]
One day, they went to Disneyland. Safiya interpreted it as a date while Tyler did not. They eventually went on their first consensual date 5 days later, where Tyler took her to dinner and they had their first kiss. They now go to Disneyland every year for their anniversary. [12]
On December 14th, 2018, Safiya announced that she is engaged to Tyler.[26]
