Early in her career, Schaeffer was an assistant to Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick during her time at the American Enterprise Institute. She has held positions such as Director of Media Relations and Public affairs for the Republican Jewish Coalition, Strategic Communications Consultant for the Independent Communications Experience, a speechwriter for Senator George Voinovich, as well as a Partner for Evolving Strategies.
