Ryan Browne (Journalist)

Ryan Browne is an American journalist residing in Washington, D.C. He is a national security reporter at CNN, covering the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. [1]

Education

Brown completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government in 2007. At Harvard, Browne played on the Varsity Football team.

He went on to attend Columbia University, receiving a Master of Business Administration in 2015.

Career

Browne was deployed with the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan as an advisor to the Afghan National Army. He has previously worked overseas in Japan as well as with the Center for the Study of the President and Congress as their director of International Security Studies.

He joined CNN in 2015, and has reported from several countries around the world including Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, India, Japan and also aboard the USS George H.W.

Bush.
